British Columbia is a wild place. We have a lot of vast open spaces. The people at Last Frontier Heli Skiing know how to use this space. Here is a 40 second teaser showing off their terrain and their way of doing things in BC's north. If you are looking for a wild adventure, and adventure away from it all, and experience that will change your view of the world, check out Last Frontier Heli Skiing.
A teaser of what CMH has to offer. Try not to drool on your screen!
Canadian Mountain Holidays - or CMH as we call it - has a huge amount of skiable terrain. Their acreage spans across 11 lodges in the BC Rockies, Monashees and Selkirk ranges. The amount of lines available is just nuts when you think about it! This video hit the internet today and after seeing it decided it was definitely worth a post here on Helitracks.com. Awesome work CMH, we are stoked for the 2013/14 season and this video just made waiting through the Fall that much harder.
Try and watch this and not ache to go get some powder!
Here is a video from lead guide Don Schwartz. The slow-mo 120 frames per second is a result of the awesomeness of the new GoPro Hero 3. The powder and blues skies is courtesy of Powder Mountain Heliskiing near Whisler BC. I know it is painful to watch, but doesn't it just make you want to drop everything and book a trip?!

Salomon Freeski TV keeps getting better and better this season. Each episode is so different from the previous. In Episode 4 of Season 6 Mike Douglas, Mark Abma and Kaj Zackrisson find themselves in Russia's Caucasus Mountains at a remote location called Arkhyz Gosdacha (Архыз Госдача). As the video will tell you, this is the secret base where Russian leaders would retreat to during the Cold War and it is apparently the place where the deal was done to unite Germany once again.
Things have changed in this pocket of Russia in that skiers have discovered what has been there through revolutions, wars, conflicts, famines and feast: Incredible and seemingly endless mountains. And the Salomon Freeski TV team makes the most of them with the help of Heliaction.ru
Here is a sneak peak of the new CMH K2 Rotor Lodge in Nakusp BC. Apparently it was lit up in its full glory last night. The word on the street Internet is that the K2 Product Development team was in town checking out the new set up and scheming for the first year of the new operation. Stay tuned for more info...
Why not add another ski mag to the library this Fall!
The weather is just starting to turn up in Revelstoke BC promting the fine folks at Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing to release their annual issue of the STHS Magazine. You can download it for free here and catch up on all things Selkirk Tangiers. Of course, there is their marketing material in there but it is mixed in with some fantastic imagery from their 50,000 acres of premium terrain.
If you are planning a heli skiing vacation this winter, the STHS Magazine has all the info you need from getting to Revelstoke, where to stay and what to expect once your boots step out of that helicopter.
Check out the mag and enjoy the stoke as we begin the decent into winter.
Legs of Steel was at it again last season and it looks like they have up'd their game once again. 'The Lost' trailer is looking amazing and it features some great Canadian content - namely Eagle Pass Heliskiing near Revelstoke BC. We never grow tired of seeing a skier rip down the spines of the BC interior. We love that these boys are from Europe and are spreading the word that you can get epic heli skiing right here in BC and don't need to travel all the way to AK!
We were teased at the end of summer with the Go Beyond trailer by Last Frontier Heli Skiing. Well today they released the full 4 minutes and it is amazing. I have lived in BC all my life and skied in many places. I have even traveled up in northern BC with my father when he lived in Whitehorse YK. I was only a boy at the time and the impact of the mountains up there remain with me to this day. Living in the southern part of the province we get comfortable skiing the incredible terrain we have, but watching this video makes me want to break my piggy bank open and book a trip. Seriously, the mountains up there look incredible!
With an average snowfall of too much to count and guides with beyond 30 years of experience, Last Frontier Heliskiing needs to be on your to-do list this winter. If not, then at least the bucket list of your life. Check out more about Last Frontier Heli here:
